The Namma Bengaluru Challenge, an initiative by UnboxingBLR, was built around a simple yet powerful question: “What if you had an idea that could create a Better Bengaluru?” The challenge invited young innovators, entrepreneurs, and changemakers to submit ideas capable of making a tangible impact on the city. The digital experience needed to inspire participation while making the entire application journey simple and intuitive.
Design and develop a dedicated microsite that served as the central hub for the challenge. The platform needed to communicate the event’s vision, eligibility criteria, timelines, rules and regulations, prizes, and application process, while encouraging maximum participation through a seamless user experience.

The greatest challenge was balancing information with engagement. The microsite had to communicate extensive event details without overwhelming visitors, while appealing to a young, ambitious audience. The design needed to be energetic, contemporary, and visually engaging—capturing the spirit of innovation without appearing overly playful. Clear information hierarchy and prominent calls-to-action were essential to guide users through the application process and encourage quality submissions.
We created a vibrant microsite that drew inspiration from the energy, culture, and identity of Bengaluru, visually reinforcing the theme of the challenge. Information was carefully structured into concise sections, supported by clear typography, visual highlights, and intuitive navigation that allowed users to quickly access key details. The interface balanced creativity with usability, creating an engaging experience that motivated participants while ensuring the application process remained simple and effortless.
